A recent recap with Giorgio seems a perfect opportunity to explain Forhair’s emphasis on excellent bedside manner. How medical professionals interact with their patients, bedside manner is essential in all settings. Severity, of course, always plays a role. Hair loss is rarely on par with, say, the ER. At Forhair, though, we understand that hair loss is also no joke. There is never a “wrong” reason to receive a hair transplantation or hair restoration treatment. Hair loss can provoke anxiety, frustrate social ease or professional ambitions, and much more. This is why we prioritize a bedside manner that is both welcoming and informative. Dr. Cole and the entire Forhair team value your concerns, comfort, and quirks as much as we care about delivering the best possible results.
That mentioned, and we cannot emphasize it enough, there is also nothing wrong with androgenic alopecia or other forms of hair loss. Many people find that balding does not affect their outlook. Most people, though, do care. As one patient, Gregorio, puts it, as he continued to bald he felt “less likely to be himself.” We emphasize top results to ensure our patients are more confident about their appearance, and therefore, happier with their day-to-day.
Expect Hospitality from the Consultation Onward
Often, the first boost in confidence is coming up with a plan and then finding a solution. This is why we consider consultation the very first step in any treatment. You deserve a thorough assessment and a thorough rundown of your options. Both require honesty. We cannot stress enough that all medical practices should explain the benefits and drawbacks of any relevant solution.
Explaining different options is particularly important at Forhair. We use a number of custom techniques and treatments, one reason why we are among the very best hair restoration clinics in the world. All patients deserve easy-to-understand explanations that clarify terms.
No Reason to be Shy: We’re Experts at Reparative Work
Around 40% of our patients seek to repair hair transplant work from other clinics. This is a highly unfortunate fact, but it makes sense. Many hair transplant surgeons use inferior techniques, lack Forhair’s collective experience, and otherwise cut costs. Most also do not contribute to the progress of hair restoration in any substantive manner. Dr. Cole and his team, meanwhile, are constantly researching new ways to further improve results. The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS), in fact, honored Dr. Cole’s lifetime contributions by awarding him 2013’s Golden Follicle Award.
We are always sensitive and forthright when assessing a hair transplant repair. Unfortunately, each transplant leaves unique challenges. Sometimes a patient who underwent substandard FUE has enough donor follicles left to add greater density to transplant areas. Other times a patient lacks these donor follicles. There are typically options, however.
FUE-style Body Hair Transplants, for instance, enable us to add density by extracting terminal follicles from the chest, upper neck, or another region. Body hair follicles are coarser but also are decent for thickening areas behind the hairline. Cole Isolation Technique (CIT®), Dr. Cole’s namesake FUE variant, also enables 30% to 40% of donor follicles to regenerate with the application of ACell. This radically increases the density of a standard transplantation. Put simply, patients generally enjoy 1300 to 1400 strands of hair for every 1000 single transplants. Further research into Follicular Stem Cell Infusions may further abet this regenerative capacity.
We Happily Coordinate Travel and Accommodations
80% of our patients come from outside Atlanta. Near all of them live busy lives too, and we fully appreciate this fact. The last thing we want is for a patient to fly in too early or too late for their schedule or arrive at their lodgings only to find they have an unnecessarily long commute to the clinic. Procedures, at most, only require a few days. Post-op recovery is also undemanding so many patients can get back to work and/or enjoy the Atlanta metro the very next day.
Of course, we are happy to recommend eating venues, attractions, and events if patients would like to explore Atlanta. In fact, we like showcasing our metro. “The Big Peach,” Atlanta has history, nature, popular entertainment, fine arts, and great cuisine.
Expect Us to Prioritize Your Comfort during the Procedure
Hair transplants can require eight hours or more. The vast majority of the procedure our patients kick back and watch TV or listen to music. Of course, there will also be breaks for the bathroom and refreshments. Everyone at Forhair enjoys getting to know their patients, so expect no lack of cordiality from Dr. Cole and his team.
Patients receive a full rundown on post-procedure care after the procedure concludes. There are plenty of different aftercare products to choose from, but Forhair recommends HairCycle. Each HairCycle product features a number of ingredients to both hasted post-op recovery and encourages hair growth. As mentioned, Forhair procedures typically require little to no downtime. The only exceptions are strenuous activity and swimming. Patients can get back to work or enjoy the Atlanta metro the very next day.
We Care About Your Post-op Recovery and Results
Forhair cares about the patient’s total experience, including recovery and results. We always prioritize answering your questions. Further, we like keeping in contact with our patients. First, it is important to remind them of any upcoming sessions or treatments -near everyone looks forward to visiting again. Second, we truly care about your results. Third, it is always nice to catch up.
Forhair Always Puts the Patients First
We value all patients at Forhair. From repairs to regular procedures, expect us to put our all into your hair transplant. Of course, this includes great bedside manner. You know why you want a fuller head of hair! Our purpose, and pride, is ensuring your experience is pleasant and the procedure result is exceptional. Giorgio, for one, now has greater professional confidence and once again enjoys being “first on the scene” when time to make a first impression.
