Patient ADA had his first procedure in 2015. The design consisted of 2,500 grafts. Dr. Cole focused on building a higher hairline than some of the existing hairs were still lingering. Though this patient had an above-average donor density, future hair loss would be inevitable. Therefore, a more mature hairline would look good now and 50 years since the initial procedure still appear natural as well as aesthetically pleasing to the eye. In addition to 2,500 grafts, ADA had standard PRP and Acell. A procedure of this size usually cuts the donor availability by 25%f. However, upon returning for a second procedure five years later, ADA still has an above-average donor density. Ten years ago, results such as these were unimaginable. A combination of CRP/Acell improved the results and extended the life of the donor. Upon ADA return, follicular density, we evaluated his hair mass in the front, top, and crown through a systematic process known as hair check. The front and top were of higher density (HMI) than his initial appointment in 2015. The donor area had the same HMI. The only place that was weaker was his crown by 0.06%. The follow-up procedure consisted of increasing density in the front and lowering the temporal points. ADA response to regenerative medicine allowed an aggressive frontal hairline design. The follow-up procedure consisted of 1,632 grafts. Typically, it would take 12 months to notice the final result. However, thanks to improvements in regenerative medicine such as CRP, final results are noticeable at six months. The photos seen below are six months post-op. Both ADA and Dr. Cole are delighted with the result. Though the CRP was relatively new at the time, ADA took a chance on regenerative medicine, and the results speak for themself.
