Patient Information

  • Procedure: CIT (Cole FUE)
  • Number of Grafts: 2717
  • Norwood Scale: Type 3A
  • Additional Treatment: CRP (Cytokine Rich Plasma), ACell, Genomic Stem Cell

Patient BBV visited Dr. Cole on January 10, 2017, to remedy a poor outcome he had experienced just 18 months following a hair restoration procedure performed at another clinic. We first determined his exact amount of hair loss using Hairmes technology, a program designed specifically to calculate scalp surface area. The patient was then treated with 2717 scalp hair grafts. He elected to undergo the fully shaven method of CIT FUE. His recipient area was treated with CRP (cytokine rich plasma) plus 60mg of ACell to boost the regrowth rate of the grafts. His donor region was treated with 30mg ACell in hyaluronic acid and follicle stem cells, which were created from 12 of the grafted follicles. The follicle stem cells were also applied to the top of the scalp. The application of ACell to the donor promotes follicle regeneration by 30 to 40 percent. Follicle stem cells should further increase this number. Dr. Cole used three different punch sizes when harvesting his grafts, ranging from 0.8mm to 1.0mm. Different punch sizes are needed to harvest different size grafts. We utilize the sharpest punches, manufactured from the highest quality steel.

* The after photos were taken in May 31st 2017 by the patient using his own camera, showing 5.5 months post-op results.
