The following patient began topical finasteride 6 months before his hair transplant. We tracked his progress on the topical. His hair counts did go, and there was a slight improvement in the number and quality of the hairs. Unfortunately, the topical finasteride did not accomplish his goal of complete restoration. However, it saved him from needing a couple hundred more grafts. The patient underwent a complete hairline reconstruction. The entire hairline was lowered. The design was made as aggressive as possible while still maintaining an ethically Caucasian design.
