This is a Turkish hair mill repair case. Our patient went to Turkey for 3,000 grafts. Upon examination, it looks as though they tried to harvest 5,000 grafts, destroying his donor area. The Turkish hairline design was artificial and did not match his ethnic background. Other complications in the hairline include large follicular units that resemble toothbrush bristles and mis-angled grafts.

Dr. Cole softened the hairline, targeting the larger follicular, removed the curvature in the temporal junction (female hairline design,) and created a widow’s peak that matches his ethnic background. The over-harvested donor area was treated with SMP to reduce skin reflection in bright lighting conditions, creating the illusion of a fuller donor area.
This is currently an ongoing case that will eventually entail rebuilding the hairline.
