In 2017 patient ALL began seeking a solution to his hair loss. ALL’s hair loss was very aggressive for someone in their mid-thirties. Already a Norwood 5 and progressing to a Norwood 6. Unfortunately, the chances of achieving a complete set of hair were dwindling. There was very little to no hair in the recipient area.
An estimated 18,000-20,000 follicular had fallen out. Average traditional safe donor area only has 7000 to 8000 harvestable grafts before the donor area begins to look depleted. Also, his below-average donor area limited the number of grafts that could be transplanted. Patient ALL was informed to manage expectations and only expect enough scalp donor to achieve a frontal hairline.
Dr. Cole designed a high frontal hairline to reduce graft count. While he could not achieve his youthful hairline commonly associated with those in their early 20's, a more mature hairline that would look good now as well 50 years from now. Dr. Cole has more experience in successfully harvesting FUE hair transplant grafts than any physician globally by using the instruments and techniques he developed. Dr. Cole used Every form of regenerative medicine to improve graft yield, speed the growing process, and preserve the donor area. These treatments include Acell, CRP, and microparticles.
After six months post-procedure ALL’s response to the transplant was successful due to proper planning and proven techniques to ensure maximal results despite a limited supply of hair. There were no signs of donor overharvesting and a robust store left over to look into addressing the crown. ALL was very pleased with his result and decided to postpone his second procedure for a few years.
When our clinic finally did see ALL again, he was thrilled. Patient ALL had strong confidence in himself that was unlike our initial consultation. He was always smiling, and though he was happy, he wanted more. The follow-up procedure addressed the crown. Following the same protocol, Dr. Cole placed 2,316 grafts into the crown.
Would you please examine patient ALL’s donor area? His ability to shave the donor down to a zero guard. The donor scarring is minimal and undetectable. Also, notice the appearance of good coverage with 5,582 in an entire balding area that lost at least 18,000 follicular units. Results like this require experience, quality tools, and regenerative medicine. Thank you for reviewing ALL’s post-procedure results and following along as we make the impossible possible.
