I started using Hair Cycle Shampoo and Nizoral 1%. I have been doing it about a month and I went from having one or two hairs in my hands to about twenty. Before I just used the cheap stuff. I wonder if this is really normal. Certainly not what I had hoped to see.

Nizoral has been used in hair loss treatment because of its anti androgenic effect.Hair cycle is more complex than that;It figths the DHT (anti androgen effect) such as propecia and promote the anagen phase by the anagen stimulators included in its ingredients.
The accelerated shedding you are experiencing is not what you were expecting;but this is normal at some extent.
Those medications(propecia,hair cycle,Rogaine,...)stabilise hair loss by prolonging the anagen phase.Some of your existinghairs could be at the end of their anagen phase.The mechanism at this level seems to be paradoxal.Those medications will push those hairs in the telogen phase and you will experience shedding.Telogen phase ,being shorter in time,those hairs will start a new cycle that will be longer than the previous one,and we will notice a stabilisation in hair loss.
It is quite normal to experience shedding when you start propecia (or any related medication such as hair cycle).This is the first case of accelerated shedding with hair cycle.
With propecia,we encourage patient to continue with the treatment.They usually observe a decrease in the phenomenon within 3 months(which correspond to the time of telogen phase) and then they are back on track.
By analogy,I will recommend to keep up with the hair cycle for a while and see how you will react.

Rogaine is more of an anagen starter. Nizoral is similar to Rogaine. it too is an anagen starter. Hair Cycle is more of an anagen prolonger, but it too may start anagen.

When you start anagen, you stimulate resting hairs to begin growing. when resting hairs begin to grow, the old dormant hair is pushed out and onto your pillow, hair brush, or shower drain. therefore, hair loss soon after starting Rogaine, etc. is a good sign. it means you are responding to the product. it would be a mistake to stop it right now. i would stop nizoral and rogaine only if your shedding persists for a long time and your hair loss becomes more noticiable. by the same token, you should not stop Hair Cycle because it will help keep hair in the anagen phase longer. when hair is in anagen, it will stay on top of your head and off your pillow, drain, or hair brush where it is not doing you any good what so ever.

Im currently using Nioxin, but other then having a fresh fealing after I wash my hair no benefits, I just ordered Hair cycle shampoo and Conditioner. Is there any benefit in using both hair cyle and Nizoral together? if so in what combination?

i have read that a side effect of Nizoral (Keto) is gynomastica. Ever since going on propecia and using Nizoral, this has effected me greatly. I know that many roll their eyes to these statements like I have in the past, but it is true. I think much of the medical community have researched very little into the use of medicines for other treatments such as hairloss and one needs to be very cautious of all durgs.

I think that the Gynomastic problem comes from the Propecia and not the Nizoral. Dr Cole did explain in one of my questions that there is a small chance of a node being formed in the breast.

I guess this "cycle" explains the following...

Every 5-6 months my hair goes through a phase where it seems much thinner, even in the diameter of the individual hair. The hairs become shorter and lighter in color but they rebound eventually. The overall scalp feels thinner as well, esp. in the front. Then 2 to 3 months later my hair goes back into its "prime" and seems like I have more. The cycle repeats itself a few months later. I use haircycle,avodart and minox, btw.
