Scar repair/ CIT /Dr. Cole

Postby forhair » Tue Jan 31, 2006 12:07 pm

Attached are the 12 month results along with pre-operative and post operative photos of a patient who came to Dr. Cole for scar repair. After just one CIT session of 150 grafts this patient is now able to wear his hair significantly shorter without the self conscious concern of his strip scar being apparent.

Scar Revision

Postby CITness » Tue Feb 07, 2006 9:09 am

This is definately a different patient and the procedure performed differs in total graft placement by hundreds. The time frame also suggests that these two cases were about a year apart. In my opinion, the later revision case has a more desireable result.

Scar Revision

supergod,

I don't quite understand what you mean. This patient has already gone to Dr. Cole for another session of revision if memory serves.

i mean it is still like kind of recognizable.... the transplanted hairs seem that they havent been transplanted downward,so it doesnt match the original hair, original hair grows downwardly.the hair wasnt transplanted in a right angle as i see it in the pictures... can he post more pics soon pls?

His hair is cut very short, it will look better with a longer hair and in time. You can not control the direction of the grafts on the scar because it's a dead tissue...

That looks absoluty mint! The fact that the hairs are going in a different direction doesnt matter at all in my opinion. I have a scar about the same size as this patients and would like to have the same thing done.

Does anyone have any idea of what this would cost? I would also like some more putting into my temples at the same time, to make the whole thing more worth while.

Mega annoyed with my scar, the doctor who made it has been struck off now, it's roughly 4-5mm wide most of the way along it but it gets a bity bigger as it goes to my left side, then at the very end its about 9-10mm! but only at the very end, like 9-10mm high by 8 mm long.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
