dont be confused lol. I added an additional question asking if you have had hair taken from the same place 4 times, can the resulting scar be reduced. In other words does it make it a lot more difficult to reduce it there have been 4 procedures done instead of 1 or 2.

Scar

sparksxx,

If you were to have a few small sessions of FIT grafting into the scars, then you most likely would get coverage. However, body hair would be the donor supply if you have an over harvested donor area. If you have one too many strips or reduce too much, then you loose laxity of the scalp.

Dr. Cole Please help me!

Postby andyandy » Wed May 09, 2007 4:41 pm

Hello,

In 2003 I had Strip (1000grft) procedure. After that I get scar (about 12cm x 0,3-0,4cm) .

That was the worst decision in my life, because my transplanted hairs looks very unnatural, heairs are rare than rest and now I have no enough money to doing next surgeries. And ballding is still progressing :(
Now I'm 27 , and in last year I shaved my head. I look verrry good without hairs! Sudenlly I could saw not so bad face in mirror! I liked it! And my girl too! She said that without hair i'm looking amazing! But... I had disgusting scar on back! Scar tissue color was little white, more than rest of skin... and everybody was asking me whats happen with my head??? That was not so funny... and I hope that if You will place some hairs into scar with FUE technique, then it will be less detectible... I pray to god, that if after surgery I will shave my head , then black dots will hide my scar! And tissue will be in more natural color.
I know I know, that scar will always exist.... but i hope that it will be less visible.
Anyway... I know that I will be shaving my head with or without scar. But if something will do it less detectible then it will be success!

I'm wondering also about white dots after FUE.... what do you think??? I hope that they will be not visible in entire head, because not so many grafts will be taken???
And how many graft it should be placed and in how many sessions? (I heard that every session perform blood "rounding" in scar... is that true?)

The last question is: Can you Dr. Cole do this scar repair? I'm living in Europe. And I can go to Brussels when you will be there (1500km from me). But I'm not trusting any surgery except YOU! I cannot risk! My future depends of this operation... please help me :(

I can send you pictures of my head, scar, shaved head etc.

Thanks Dr. Cole for yours answer and reading this loooong post.
And sorry for my english language :)

Yours Andy

FIT into scars for repair

Postby CITness » Thu May 10, 2007 11:20 am

Hi andyandy,

IHTI strives to help patients acheive their goals and I will do my best to see that you are given the best oppourtunity at our clinic in Atlanta. I can certainly pass on the specifics of your case to Dr. Cole for his recommendation, if you could contact me via email or telephone. In the meantime, look at some of these scar photos that have been produced by IHTI and team.

This type of work has been requested much more often and has been very effective. I think grafting into scarred areas is an excellent use for BHT in particular.

But how many %

Postby andyandy » Tue May 29, 2007 7:08 pm

How many % will grown after FUE into the scar?
I know that BHT is less % of grown, is that true ?

I have also question...
If let we say... that 70% will grown aftrer FUE in first session...
So we will have non hair areas in scar where graft was placed.

In second session You will put new graft once again in the same place... Question is..: The graft will be growing or this little place on the scar will be bald forever ?

Last question is: Why two or better three sessions are prefered? Why we cant do this on the single session? I guess that blood is start to rounding in scar after placeing grafts... If yes, then why it is happen?
I was thinking.... maybe I should perform acupuncture on the scar half before surgery ??? :)
