6 Month Update on latest FIT. No growth seen yet.

Postby Whateverittakes! » Mon Jan 02, 2006 11:27 pm

I'm a pleased mulitple FIT patient.
But I went in around July 23rd, about 400 or so grafts, I believe in the front hairline of and its almost 6 months and I don't see any growth in these areas.

I've been patient though, but the other times at 3 to 4 months I've had noticeable growth from FIT

Any ideas what is up.different? Should I just be patient?
Please advise?

There are two things that you should do :)

Thing #1:
We have talked about this "phenomenon" some time ago. It is called the Law of Diminishing returns. Which states that the benefit of unit produced or consumed decreases with every other unit produced or consumed. This in other words means that for every hair transplanted less and less benefit is noticeable. For example, if you grow one single tree on a meadow you will be able to see that tree. But, If you grow that same tree in a dense forrest, nobody will be able to notice that that tree has grown...

Things #2:
Patience is a virtue :)

Cavdo, Bravo on this post. You are absolutly correct.
I will add thet 6 months are still not the time to finalize the HT outcome.
The other sessions don't really count, it is after 10-12 months that you can see better results, you will need to come to the office and let the docs see you.
Taking photos is critical at that point as they can give you a better prespective on the results, we had some patients that didn't remember how they looked like after their 2nd or 3rd session, only after seeing their photos they got suprised on how good are the results.

--- Cavdo makes logical points and I am famaliar with his first argument. However, I will say in my defense, I'm pretty calm and well educated on the manner. The first argument is not the case, I'm very famaliar with my past and my current position, and can objectively with confidence see there has been little to no growth in the receipent transplanted area as of yet. This is different than previous FIT procedures. I'm also not passing final judgement, as I have seen pictures of individuals that did not experience significant growth til 8 months or, and I aware so even longer. I was just curious if there is any logical scienitific hypothesis why previous FIT experiences have hair noticeably in the 3 to 5 month range, and this time as of yet to see much if any. Thank you for your insight in advance.

1st session does not indicate anything on the 2nd or later sessions.
I don't know why, but i have seen it before.
Maybe one of the doctors will have the answers...
If you had (and you had) good growth from your first sessions with Dr. Cole.
Then it is not reasonable that you will lack this time.
Again, you have seen more dramatic growth in your first sessions simply because you had more balding area. if you can come to one of the consultations or to the office, we will be able to look with the loops or with a scope into the hair and see the growth.
Call the office to schedule yourself...
we need you optimistic and calm for the sake of the new babies :)
