Good HT doctors are very rare and there are only a few. If I could provide some advice - "Do not let your location be a factor on who you choose to be your HT doctor". There are very few doctors on the west coast that meet my personal list as the best HT docs. Just my opinion from months of research. Just my opinion.

In this day and age you can do on-line consults to get a better idea about your situation. I would utilize this and perhaps visit some other hair loss forums to get a better idea of who are the best of the best.

Dr. Cole and IHTI is considered to be the best by many educated people's standards. As far as I know, they do not have a list of referrals. Good LUCK.

Sound to me that you havn't done your research, i encourage you to do so...this is a one life time decision!
Go to the HL forums and read everything you can about each doctor, and more important go to see patients in person.
Then you will not ask this question again...
As far as my research goes, Cole, shapiro and H&W are the best in the world, Dr. Cole have the best hairlines IMO.
