Dear All,

Have any of you had any throughts about using Proscar topical rather than oral? FOr this to be a good idea it would of course need to be possible for proscar to get though the skin, can it do this? Say in an alcohol base for example? If so woulndt it give a more concentrated dose of drug to the hair follicles than when your 1mg or whatever is 'spread out' throughout the whole of the body?

Any thourghts?

There are some physicians who put both Proscar and Avodart in minoxidil and have patients apply it topically. The thing i do not know is whether crushing Proscar and squirting Avodart into Minoxidil puts the product into a pharmacological state such that they are active ingredients. I know some patients that swear by it. i really don't know that it does anything, however. Put one proscar and two avodart in a bottle of minoxidil 60 cc and apply twice a day. Maybe it will do something. Maybe it will not.
