Hi jj1794,

As a recipient of 'un-plugging by hair-tec & Dr Cole I can vouch for the quality of the work. I really never thought I would be able to get a sensible hair cut or not have to drag my hair forward over my plugs. Their work has let me indeed go about my life without worrying if other people see my hairline.

I still have discoloration from my first (Nobel Clinic) ht, & many of their grafts were in very obvious 'pits'. Dr Cole removed the more prominet ones and sutured the scalp closed and after about 2 weeks I could not tell where the pitted mini grafts had been removed from, he really is that good! MY 'riddging' (the phenomena of a raised circle of tissue on the scalp in concentric circles from the row of 'micro grafts') from the nobel clinic has diminished, almost invisible now.

I think Dr Cole favours doing these de-bulking sessions over the course of 2 or possilby more visits. My session was a full day, and there is only so much work that can be done in that time. On a personal level this was an adavnatge as my other mini /micro grafts have provided scalp coverage while my new fu's grow in.

debulking plugs

Postby drcole » Tue Mar 14, 2006 11:03 pm

we have found very sucessful techniques for debulking plugs and pitted grafts. we recently sucessfully removed all the plugs from a patient in a single procedure. he commented that it was the first time since 1977 that he did not have that old doll's head look. it's a very sucessful procedure for removing those old embarrassing plugs. nothing is worse than looking like you had a hair transplant in an effort to conceal your hair loss.

still, repair work can take much longer than doing it right the first time. three sessions will typically take care of most situations altough, as i mentioned, we can sometimes do it in a single pass. i am glad that the nobel victim has been patient with us. it is our hope that this session of adding hair will solve the problem for good.
