leg hair question (!)

A general discussion about hair restoration.

leg hair question (!)

Postby Guest » Sun Jan 09, 2005 10:45 am

I'm considering HT with extensive use of LEG hair. I have hairy legs so it would be great to use such grafts. BUT there's one thing that I'm not sure of: WILL THE LEG HAIR GROW FOR LIFE ? For example, I know that chest hair, armpit hair, beard hair and also pubic hair - they don't stop growing and that's because even very old man can use these hair as donor. Do you know any quite old men that still have this hair ? I tried to ask my father about his leg hair - he claims that as a young man he had quite HAIRY LEGS. Now his legs look like lady's legs, absolute no (!) hair. In this case it would be wiser to use armpit, pubic, chest and beard hair instead of leg ones.

Have any people (that already have HT <<with leg hair donor>> done) done such research ?
Thanks for *any* answers, *any* will be appreciated!

Yes, leg hair has been done with success at IHTI. Although, since body hair is still a 'newer' procedure and we don't have a long history of it to evaluate, there are still some things that are not determined yet.

Each person is different...for example, my father has always had a very hairy body, but has been bald since his late 20's. His leg hair has not thinned at all. Your father's situation may be different - as well as your own.
