This cold weather is causing my scalp to be flaky and scaly, along with my forehead. I think it would help to shower in less hot water, but do you have any suggestions? Also, what are your thoughts regarding nioxin, regenix, avacor if you are familiar with these products?
Thanks,
Drew

I have the same problem. In my case it is "Saborea".I use a 2.5% Hydrocortisone cream, but it is only effective if you use it every day in the winter.
I also recently discovered after a blood test that my thyroid is low! this can cause Gaining weight, Dry skin, Feeling of weaknesses, lost of energy, Hair loss and more... I started to take Synthroid to help keeping my thyroid levels balanced.
You might wamt to check with your doctor and do a blood test...at list you will know its not your thyroid.
