6 month update

A general discussion about hair restoration.

I am happy for you.
You will see new hairs coming out and existing hairs(grafts) becoming longer(about 1 inch per month). This combo will give an illusion of more coverage.

With the number of grafts you received in your first session, I suspect you are averaging a density of 30 to 40 FU per square cm.You will be pleased and as 66% of the patients in the same scenario,if you want a fuller coverage , you need to do a second session. It brings a tremendous improvement.

Did you also try rogaine?

FIT FUE Megasession

It is great to hear you are pleased and doing well!!!

There is a chance that you could do surgery if your HT matured ahead of schedule or if you wish to treat a virgin area of scalp. This does not seem to be the case though as you want to add density to already treated areas for the most part. You probably can expect growth and increased fullness until a year+ post op (as you correctly understand). After that point you will not damage any hair with further work.

I believe waiting a few more months is the best advice. Feel free to post any questions or photos of your progress. Exciting stuff!

Happy New Year!

Patients should wait until 8 months post op before considering more transplant in the same area. However, you can work in other areas 2 weeks post op if you like. We have a few patients that come in once a month for 100-200 grafts - into different areas of course.
Thanks for the post!
