Transplant not growing

Postby jhey » Tue Sep 21, 2004 8:54 pm

at age 33 I had a scape reduction, then 300 grafts, then in 1995 another 400 gratfts, and in Nov 2003 1800 grafts. The recent procedure seems to have shocked my normal hair, seems like I have less coverage especially in the crown. The doctor offered to do 400 for free but he was talking like it may end up shocking additional hair.

Question, what do I do now after 4 procedures and 15,000. Will the grafts placed about 10 months ago ever grow

I am concerned because I always get bumps , infections now in the donor area and in the crown area.

What should I do?

Hi jhey
I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience.
Can you tell me who was the doctor in your last session? did you had strip or fue?
Do you take propecia to prevent more hair Loss? it can be that you lost more of your existing hairs during this 10 month...
It is rare when there is no growth after 10 month, usually you start to see growth after 3 month, and more in 6 month, final results comes 12 month after.
Where are the bumps? in the recipient area or in the donor area?
If it is in the recipient it it can indicate on a new hair growth...if it is on your donor area it can be in-grown hairs and you should see a doctor to fix it.
I think you should consult with a doctor anyway...can you send us your photos from this link:http://www.forhair.com/contact_page.htm
