Wassup with wassup

Postby FITLocks » Sun Jan 30, 2005 3:41 pm

Wassup is one of our best posters! But in case he is not checking the boards at the moment I'll fill you in (correct me if I'm wrong Wassup :D )

He has 3 strip procedures (totalling approx 5,700 FU) and 1 FIT procedure (1100 FU) to correct his stage 3-4V baldness. For all practical purposes the patient was pushing into a NW 5 balding class.

Phillip, he would have been a few years older than you when he started...a pup.

Hope Wassup can add some words of wisdom (and correct any mistakes I made :D )

super job FITLocks - NW status/progession sounds right - I would have posted 6875 grafts (which I believe is the number ForHair actually provided me with a litte while back). my current age is 34 and I started my HT journey when I was 30 (actually 1 month before 30th birthday) - 1st strip procedure in August 2000.

also FitLocks, since you know me so well, the wife has some work around the house I may need a little help with ;)

Wow!! If I didn't know better, I'd say that was Jason Priestly's hairline. Can you comment on how your attitude and confidence have changed since you've had this outstanding procedure. For instance, how do you feel when you first wake up in the morning now?

FITLock knows every detail , he is actually live with wassup and when he wakes up in the morning the first thing he sees is FITLock's face :P !!!
I think that the first thing on wassup's mind in the morning is Dr. Cole...you are the greatest:)

drewsturner - thanks for the kind words. when I started losing my hair, it was depressing - I probably started thinning around 17 or 18 and would get comments about going bald or starting to thin - hearing this over the years I lost some of my self-esteem. It was very a humbling experience. How do I feel now? I have a lot more compassion towards people than I used to and feel like I am a better person than before because of it. I also am enjoying being able to style my hair different ways, something I wasn't sure that I would be able to do again. I think the big thing is I'm more comfortable about how I look and feel now. I can never thank Dr. Cole enough for his artistry and God for blessing him with such skills - what a combo eh ;)

forhair - we met before I had any HT work done. she's been through all my procedures and was even the one who removed my stitches during my strip procedures. she loves me with or without hair and that's nice and a comfort to know. she also was the one who got me to start styling my hair in different ways than straight back - ever day after I would get out of the shower I'd hear, "Do something different with that hair, blah blah blah, I'm sick of seeing it straight back." - I'd hear that all the time - and I'm super glad I'm able to do different styles now.

"came from the dark and turned into a movie star" - that's funny - I feel more like Gilligan but with a decent head of hair ;)

FITLock, Lets be honest...We are a little bit jealous. To be like wassup i will need another 1500-2000 grafts and i will need to find a supportive wife which is the real issue here
