Quickest Healing Process Post-Op???

Postby dfwguy » Thu Feb 05, 2009 1:56 am

Hi all,

I am scheduled for a procedure with Dr. Cole this coming March. From everyone's experience what is the quickest way to get healed with the scabs falling off harmlessly? Should I be using the biotin spray every hour? And what exactly is the "post surgical" gel for? Thanks.

I used the biotin spray RELIGIOUSLY post-op and the scabs were gone in no time. I carried it in my car. I brought it to work. I was obsessive about it. Now...I have never had a procedure without the spray so I can't comment on what the recovery would be like without it...but...my post-op recovery was a breeze and I used it. I also used, and still use, the hair cycle shampoo. Again...it very well could be placebo, but I would never know the difference nor do I care...cause my hair looks great!

biotin spray working well...

Postby dfwguy » Sun Mar 15, 2009 12:14 am

i'm 5 days post op fue/cit and have been using the biotin every hour. the recipient area is scabbing up quick and nice. im not fair skinned so i dont know if i would've gotten any redness to the scalp, but that has been a non-factor.

my first question is, should i start massaging the scalp on day 7 post op or wait till day 10?

secondly, should i have used biotin on the donor area also to help speed up recovery? thanks!
