Hi contactnipun,

It is very, very unusual to loose transplanted hair that has come from the 'safe' donor region, so barring serious illness you shouldnt loose your transplanted hair once it has grown out.

That said if you lost your transplanted hair, during say chemotherapy for example, you would have your recipient sites exposed for all to see. Again, if you went to a poor quality ht clinic, as I did for my 1st hair transplant then certainly, yes the graft sites, scarring and slits would be visible. But the fact that your posting on Dr Cole's forum shows that you have done a better job of researching this than I did first time around. A ht from dr Cole would be imperceptible even if the hairs for some reason did fall out.

I can say this with certainty as its normal for the transplanted hairs to fall out and then re-grow after a ht, and with Dr Cole's work you would never have known he had been there until the transplanted hairs grew back in.

Hope that helps!

I didn't believe it until I had my first transplant...but there is absolutely zero visible scarring as a result of Cole's procedure. I had my second one a month ago...the new implanted hairs fell out (as expected) about two weeks ago...and there is absolutely no sign that anything was done to my head. It's a scientific fact that if an incision is small enough then the body will heal without scarring. Consider papercuts or small cuts that you have had in the past. No scarring. And keep in mind that the incisions are made with very sharp instruments specifically designed for the task. A cut made by a steak knife or whatever leaves an uneven cut that may scar.

I'm not explaining this very well.....but I think you get the idea!

Thanks,
