Hi Mady,

There are many treatments to restore your hair loss. I can get Dr. Cole's recommendation if you send some photos. At 22 years of age, you should try non-surgical treatments for a while. It is also important to mention your family history of hair loss. Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Best hair loss treatment

Welcome hairloss1, hair loss can have devastating psychosocial effects on men and women especially when they young but not only. Unfortunately, there are dozens, if not hundreds, of companies that prey on these strong emotions to make a profit off products that do not work.
The only proven oral medication that really work and can grow new hair is Propecia. Propecia is very effective for the majority of men who use it, and in a smaller percentage it can even grow new hair.
Propecia is known to cause sexual side effects in some individuals. Clinical studies indicates on 0.6% but it is now believed that is more likely 5% of men who experience side effects. Still, you have a high chance of not getting any side effect with Propecia and even if you do, you can stop taken the medication and the side effects will go away.
If Propecia doesn't work for you then the best topical treatment for hair loss is Minoxidil (rogain) , Rogain also have side effects like excess hair growth on the face and body, but only a small percentage or users are affected (when treatments stops, so do any side effects). Results may come after 9 months of treatment. It is not as effective as propecia as far as ai know and from looking at patient's testimonials but worth a try if propecia doesn't work for you.
As of today, hair transplant surgery is the most effective treatment for pattern baldness. In hair transplant the success rate is very high and can reach up to 99% hair growth.
It is recommended to get hair transplant only after a doctor analysis r consultation and in many cases it is also recommended that hair transplant patient will be on propecia or minoxidil preior and after the hair transplant surgery for best optimized results.

Hairloss1,

There are many non-sugical hair loss products that do not have the side effects that are associated with many of the hair loss medications. Saw palmetto helps stimulate hairs to grow and remain in the actively growing phase of the hair cycle. Biotin is all natural and essential for formation of hair and skin. Vitamins are natural and also help in the growth of hair.
