This Norwood 2 patient received approx. 650 grafts over two very small sessions of CIT to fill-in the left and right sides of the frontal hair line. The patient has average follicular density (80 follicular units per cm2), and curly medium-coarse hair. Curlier hair usually produces more fullness than straight hair, and a medium-coarse character will generally give more coverage value. Many patients, who have similar hair characteristics, desire to increase density to the frontal hair line but do not want to have the linear strip scar associated with FUT. This patient's expectations to increase density to the front are realistic and have been met. The patient is happy with the new hair growth on the frontal hair line and the fact that there is no strip scar on the donor area.
