10-day healing repair result

This patient featured below had a goal of obtaining a natural looking hair line via FIT/CIT and avoid the linear scar from strip method. His hairline was very pluggy looking and noticeably mis-angled by another clinic. For our surgical staff to provide corrective treatment on this patient, a plug redistribution was necessary. In this repair session, we removed large follicular units (2 – 5 hair), dissected them and placed them back onto the hair line for a more softer appearance. Often times patients want us to place these dissected units back onto their donor areas to disguise scarring.

This patient was told from his previous physician that he would have a nice full ending result on his hair line and a pencil thin scar “Trico-closure”. Being very displeased with his hair line, he contacted us to arrange repair. We redistributed approximately 170 plugs that yielded approx. 371 grafts for placement back onto his frontal scalp via FIT/CIT. You can now see a more natural result and healing just 10 days after treatment.

His new goal is for us to add temple peaks for a more appealing hairline and fill in his scar via FIT/CIT. He is very pleased with his current progress.

Is this typical healing? It seems like there are many if not all of the repair cases heal very well. What does it look like during the procedure?

Thanks
