Chief- 7 month (UPDATED PICS 8/12)

Postby Chief » Tue Aug 07, 2007 11:21 am

I have asked Dr. Cole's office to post pictures of my 7th month progress.

I started a previous thread with comments earlier. It is titled "Comments/Update" and is below in the list of threads. I had a 2000 FIT surgery on January 9, 2007.

I am interested to hear people's comments. I am very happy with the results. The criteria that was most important to me prior to surgery was that the results look natural. I want to stress that there is no way in the world that anyone ever thinks that I had a transplant. In fact, the opposite is true. I have told a couple of people that I had a transplant and they did not believe me. I almost didn't do the surgery because I didn't want to take the risk of looking like I had a transplant. However, the results could not look more natural. It is truly incredible how natural my results look. It is true that you never notice the good hair translants only the bad ones.

I also want to stress one other item. I am so happy I did FIT instead of Strip. I was going to do a strip up until 1 minute before surgery and I changed my mind (thanks Dr. Cole). My recommendation would be to do FIT and then after you have done that then if you want a strip on your 2nd one then let them scar you. But I promise you if you do FIT first you will never do a Strip and you will be very happy.

I also want to thank Dr. Cole and his staff. It is amazing what they do everyday.

Thanks for the comments. I think you look great so far! What a difference 2000 grafts can make! The results look completely natural, and you have no linear scar across the back of your head. Your hair looks shiny and very healthy as well. Very nice, and thanks for keeping us updated.

Here are the pictures:

looks great; i suspect you have more to come still. i agree about FIT. it is far more humane than a strip.

Looks good, and I take it you will have a little more growth and your hair will mature more also. Do you plan on having another transplant in the future to add density?

very good progress so far chief, i think that in person it will look more dense simply because the after photo here is from a very top angle and there is a strong flash that reveal more then it should (while the before photo have a natural lightning).
I guess that chief took the after photo with his own camera...
the results looks extremely natural, so you definitely hit the goal here, since you balding area is almost all over your head, i think that a second pass is needed to get more density, but it's too early to judge...keep update the photos (and try to take without flash and with more angles), i think that at 1 year postop you will see more hairs.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

txl83 - Yes, I plan on adding 2000-3000 this fall mostly in frontal 2/3.

body2hair - The after photo is with my camera. I will take some photos outside this week and post them.

I would be interested in seeing the photos with your hair around the same length as the before pictures. Are you due for a haircut? Either way, everything looks great for only 7 months! Good luck the rest of the way!

My hair is longer in the after photo and I think that is adding a little coverage. I will post pics after my next haircut also.
