wow, he looks so much younger, i bet he get a lot of ladies now in italy
i would like to see the patient comments too...where are you italian patient?
come here and share your thoughts
the bht on the crown is a nice filler...dr. cole, do you think that a combination of fit+bht on the crown is more effective than just fit?

Hi everybody,
I am the italian patient :D
sorry if I did not write before, but I'm a bit shy and I'm not very familiar with forums.
My first comment is to say publicly thanks to dr. Cole and his wonderful staff for the great work they did on my head
The operations really changed my mind and my life, and, after many years of hair-losing, I could finally live a long period of hair-growing in places where before there was just the desert!
What can I say more? Results are very natural, I had a very light and no problematical post-op, hair and bht are still growing. I'm completely satisfaied. Thats all.
Sorry for my poor english. If there are questions, I'd be glad to try to answer.
Ciao a tutti!

FIT and BFIT results

Postby CITness » Fri Aug 24, 2007 10:52 am

Yes he looks like a 29 year old young man in my opinion. There are hundreds and possibly thousands of results With FIT and the procedure doesn't result in a linear scar. FIT FARMING more apparently provides alterior hair to battle hair loss and the extraction of scalp hair to maximize results. I wish more Italian men knew of such procedure but I do see many of those guys asking questions. I am very pleased to hear your testimony regarding your whole experience and I hope to see you in Lazio soon. I am esstatic to see someone else getting younger!

Cheers!

Salute!

Scalp hairs are more valuable than BHT. They grow faster, they have 2 or more hairs per follicular unit; so they can give better coverage than BHT.
However, BHT is a great alternative solution when we can not get scalp hairs. It may grow slowly and takes up to two years before full maturation. A combination of FIT+BHT offers a great alternative for those who has a limited donor area! :D

That's very very good indeed, but I would have expected a full coverage after 12 000g.. not?
What kind of hair did this patient had? Thin or coarse?
Sorry if it's a stupid question..

To evaluate his results it is important to consider some factors. Our Italian patient started with an advance hair loss (class 6) and his hair characteristics are medium fine that provide a light coverage. In order to extend the donor resources for long term we used scalp hair, body hair and FIT farming (for the donor area). Body hair does not cover as well as scalp hair because they are thinner diameter and don’t growth as long scalp hair.

Please noticed his donor area is not depleted considering the number of grafts that have been harvested. The subtle differences from FIT farming are quite beneficial to the overall cosmetic result in our evaluations.

Our goal is to help our patients look natural; and the patient's goal normally is to get maximum density or a full head of hair look. Both goals can be achieved if the donor will support the volume of grafts required to accomplish the goal. When planning a surgery, we need to access the potentional for future loss, and develop a plan that addresses specific needs and goals for patients with significant loss. Graft selection is handled very carefully. The physician will work carefully to ensure that only the best grafts are harvested. However your existing hair in the area could continue to shed.

That's why we always encourage anyone who is seeking hair transplant surgery to commit to medical therapy such as Propecia and/ or Minoxidil 5%, vitamins, hair cycle shampoo, etc...Medications stabilize hair loss progression.
