Photos of Norwood 2 patients?

Postby Sep1978 » Wed Jan 17, 2007 6:47 pm

Based on the Norwood scale provided herein, I guess I would be classified as a 2. My crown is ok, but my hairline has receded around the temple areas. Can my hairline be partially restored? I'm 44 years old and live in the Washington, DC area.

Btw, do you have any photos of N2 patients who have successfully undergone the FIT procedure, specifically for hairline restoration work?

Sep1978, i'm not an expert....yet :) but the first question that comes to my mind is are you taking any medications to slow your hairloss? propecia and avodart can really slow or stop hairloss and in some even grow hair.
i'm looking for a procedure next year, during this time i am using propecia and i can definitely say that it works by keeping value hairs from falling and my hairloss has almost completely stopped. now think about all the hair that i saved for my future procedure :)

eurostar, I've been an on-and-off user of propecia for the last 3 years. My dermatologist gave me a new prescription last summer, but I haven't acted on it. Quite frankly, I don't like taking pills daily, and I'm not really confident that it stops hairline recession.

My hair loss has been incremental over the last 28 years (hence the name Sep1978), receding primarily in the temporal area. So, I've accepted my situation a long time ago and am generally comfortable with the amount of hair I presently have. But if can make an improvement, I'd like to explore the options that are available to me. Heck, I just got a dental implant, costing me $3k. And no one can see it, even if I smile. :D
