Dr. Cole placed 219 FIT grafts into this patient strip scar back in 2004. The patient found the width and the coloration of the strip scar troubling and discovered a solution in Dr. Cole’s technique. 2 years post op the coverage is excellent and the linear incision is barely discernable to the eye even upon close inspection.
What is more is that the strip scar seems to have undergone a re-modeling process whereby the angry pink tissue has assumed a more innocuous tone. It may be that the process would have taken place over time and the FIT session merely accelerated it. On the other hand, the FIT grafts may have ignited a process that would have never otherwise happened. In either case we are happy to observe that not only has the FIT surgery camouflaged the incision, it has also improved the pigmentation and the character of the scar itself. |
