Which Chicago area doctors would you recommend for scar repair? In addition, is the FUE the best reapair method?

Chicago,

I would look at the results of doctors on the web regardless of location. Some of the best doctors are may not be in your area and actually I can tell you they are not. I have researched HT repair surgeons exhaustively and can tell you that you will be best to consider surgeons regardless of their proximity to home. I have also found that I like to convalese in a hotel room for a day or two before going back to my normal life after surgery. The closest surgeon who gets good reviews would be Dr. Jones in Toronto. Dr. Cole in Atlanta, however, has more experience and a better reputation. This is particularly the case with repair cases. Eventhough I would prefer to visit Toronto I would go to Cole. There is no one that I have researched that is anywhere nearly as reputable as those two in the chicagoland area.

scar repair

For scar repair you have two potions:

Scar repair can be treated by grafting it. It takes 2 to 3 procedures to get it to a point where the contrast with the surrounding zone is not detectable. It takes 3 sessions because the blood circulation is poor in the scar and we need to graft at low density to start.

The second option is to excise a strip and close it with double closure or trichophytic closure. There is no guarantee the scar will disapeared.
