If you read on the final page of the FDA letter it specifically states:

Indications for Use

510(k) Number (if known): K060 305

Device Name: HairMax LaserComb

Indications for Use:

The LaserComb is indicated to promote hair growth in males with androgenetic alopecia who

have Norwood Hamilton Classifications of la to V and Fitzpatrick Skin Types I to IV.

It looks like we have another FDA approved hair growth treatment.

Dr Cole, do you have any opinions on the laser comb? From my 4 years reading hairloss forums i think the general Consensus has always been quite negative towards it?

thanks

Dr Cole,

Is there any scientific evidence that the Laser comb or anything in this category of low level laser treatments, can damage the dermal papilla of each hair?

Hi All,

Being a tightwad I have just invested the princely sum of £40 inc P&P on the wired tecknolegy version of a laser comb on ebay, what can I say, $450 seemed a bit much, but £40...

Anyhow I will certanly keep you all posted, I have to say 5 weeks in I think I have had a reduction in the bathpulg harvest, but thats a long way off saying its growing hair.

Its about a year after my last trip to Atlanta now and I have to say thanks again to you all, great job, hope to see you again as and when the laser comb fails me!

Well, its over a year since my last post on this thread, I dont think I have had any obvious regrowth from my cheapie laser comb, One problem for me is that my thickish hair is probably refracting the laser beam a bit, I can feel my scalp tingle a little on the bits that are more exposed.

Has anyone had a good result from one of these?
