| I´ll like to know what effect does the skin on the recipient area have. I mean, do the punches create some kind of goose bump skin or small dimples, scarred shinny texture or other noticeable aspect? |
Hair transplant procedures that use follicular units exclusively leave no visible scarring in the recipient area.
You can see this phenomenon on repair patients that had the old strip techniques, the scarring may be due to the plug itself (which invariably leaves a round white scar), doctors used to cut big holes and put big chunks of hair groups that pressures and raised the skin surface up, after the existing hairs falls it looks like you described, also doctors who did poor grafts placement on the hairline using large groups instead of single hairs and with too much density can produce this effect, it's called elevation or depression of grafts. the use of needles can also cut big skin areas resulting in bad skin after hair transplant, we use incisions. I have never seen such recipients areas from Dr. Cole's patients and you can maybe check patients in person to proof it, the opposite, we are well known for correcting those bad surgeries with great success, and the photos that shows bad skin or bumps after hair transplant are from repaired patients that had those techniques (minigraft, micrografts, flaps).

| Also, if I get CIT on my forehead, how long will the procedure be noticeable ( scar, redness, etc). Is it common to have some pimples on the recipient area? Does this result in shock loss around them? |
Make a search on this site and you will find a lot of information, you will find that our patients mostly get fast healing especially with CIT and with the artistic skills of Dr. Cole. using haircycle post-operative products can also accelerate the healing.
Pimples and cytes are simply a reaction to the retained hair fragments in grafts that are not growing new hair yet, the hairs that are supposed to be shed sometimes do not fall out. they sit in the skin and cause a reactive inflammation similar to pimples. Once the hairs are shed, the pimples resolve themselves. popping the pimple often pushes the hair out...it is not a big deal.
Redness and healing is subjective to the individuals, some have redness just a few days and it's gone, few can experience it for a month post-op surgery, we provide help and guidance after surgery. |
