Hi i had 1500 grafts transplanted using strip in February 2007 this was done in Australia (I am taking Dutasteride). Its been six months after procedure i have poor grow at the hairline. I understand that you have to wait 8 months to see 90% growth. I am nearly there. I can not see my hairline looking much better. So i need to get this sorted i would like to have Fit done.
Questions
How long do i have to wait before i can get more work done?
Does this class me as a repair case?
Will there be extra costs involved if i am classed as repair case?
Because i live in Australia which clinic would best closest.
Thanks

Hi,

In most cases, patients will wait from 8 to 12 months for additional surgery. Some cases will show growth after just 2 months while others are late bloomers and will show growth come in after 8 months. The "safe" time frame to transplant a previously transplanted area is at about 8-9 months post-op. If you see little growth then I would go ahead with FIT in the future and fill in the strip scar if it is unwanted.

Repair treatment will be unnecessary until you actually see that the incoming growth is mis-angled or are large "chunky" grafts unnaturally placed on the scalp. If your current hairline seems to be unnatural and doesn't meet your expectation then I would send in a few photos showing all areas of concern. Also you may want to keep in mind that some hair line recession is expected as age is acquired.

The travel time to our Clinics is about the same either way. Below is a link to send photos so that your case can be evaluated as it would be our pleasure to do so.
