| This is a patient who underwent a 1500 graft FIT non-shaven procedure two years ago. Many patients cannot shave the back and sides of their scalp. They need to keep their hair long so they can return to work in a few days with undetectability. Other patients have strip scars that they cannot expose. Shaving large areas is one of the disadvantages of FIT to these patients. Therefore, we offer the FIT non-shaven approach. In this approach we cut only the hair we are going to remove and leave the rest of the hair long. This method allows the patient to proceed with their hair restoration procedure discretely. FIT allows for more hair per graft and a lower transaction rate than strip procedures, while avoiding the unsightly strip scar. |
