Effect of anti-androgens on BHT hair

It has been suggested that people who have had BHTs should not use things like Propecia or Avodart anymore, since (it is suggested) anti-androgens may have a negative effect on the tranplanted body hair. Has Dr Cole weighed in on this?

The thinking is that, because DHT promotes hair LOSS on the head, but promotes hair GROWTH on the body, perhaps DHT inhibitors like Avodart and Propecia could have a negative effect on BHT.

It does appear that in SOME individuals, taking these drugs causes a decrease in the amount of body hair growing (and likewise increases hair on the head). But that does not necessarily mean that body hair transplanted to the scalp would be affected the same way by these drugs. In some ways, BHT on the scalp begins to behave like scalp hair, and therefore may not be affected the same way as one the body.
