Hairline Revision – 23 days post op update

This patient had two strip procedures from another doctor 10 years ago. He came to Dr. Cole because the density was low and the hairs were angled almost straight up. The hairs on the hair line naturally grow in acute angles, sloping gently downward towards the face. 90 degree angles can stand out and look unnatural. When the hair is worn longer, the angulation is not as apparent, but with shorter hair it is much more noticeable. Techniques in hair transplantation have much improved in the last 10 years, making natural results more attainable.

For additional discussion, visit Mini graft Hairline by Dr Rogers 1997…

Here are some pictures before surgery, during surgery, 20 days post op and 23 days post op. Thanks so much to the patient for keeping us updated on his progress. Happy growing!

Thank you for your willingness to share your results with the rest of the hair loss community. Its always a pleasure to see patients who are proud of their results. In sharing your story with the readers of this forum, perhaps others will take the first step and realize there is a better way to live because in the right hands, a good surgeon can produce natural results even if it means repairing work that was done using older or inefficient techniques.

Some may say that your photos are too blurry or the lighting is poor. To that I must say that people should remember this is a 5 month post op submitted directly by the patient from the patient's home (I presume) where they don't have the set up we do at our offices. But in the end, the proof is in the patient himself who is ultimately the one who must be satisfied.

Thanks again for sharing your results and I look forward to seeing your 12 month photos!

Congratulations Haggis,

I must admit that your results are very appealing for just 5 months post-op. I see that density on the frontal scalp now compliments the density of the native hair on the vertex very well. The naturalness on your frontal hair line has been restored along with an overall increase in density due to the redirection of hair without consideration of the natural looking transplanted hairs on front. It is pleasing to know that your treatment seems to have been very successful. Most patients will continue to see growth for up to 1 year post-op so I expect that you will be back on the forum with better photos during the summer of 08'.

You have come very far and I hope you continue to share you experience.
Please keep us posted

Hey haggis, great results!
When can we expect to see you back in Atlanta for some follow up shots?
This will be a great addition to our gallery Laughing
