HM will result in hair growing in all kinds of different directions and is still not ready yet. It will help with filler hair but a lot of guys are going to be complaining about all the different directions and inability to style the hair.

Cloning is years away.

I hope they work it out or at the very least learn more about the cellular structures and communications with in the follicular unit and scalp environment. Some of the research that I have seen might help with skin grafting for burn patients, but I haven't seen much in the way of truely growing hair yet.

Hair Multiplication is a lot closer than any Hair Transplant specialist is going to admit.
The UK maybe getting it first, then followed up by the US - BOSLEYS have first option.Thats ICX-TRC by Intercytex.See their website.
If Bosleys get first option I assume you'll be looking for another job JESSICA.
I have had a long conversation with Lesley from the Farjo Clinic in the UK.they are doing trials for Intercytex.I believe you'll all see very soon.
2010 at the latest.Small scale before that, perhaps even paying to be part of trial 3,even.
I myself am waiting, but at the same time I'm quite happy with shaving my thinning hair down to nothing.
A full bald looks better than thinning hair.

Has this been done on a human yet? I hear that it may have been done on a lab rat.

Well...if you want to get an answer, just look how old are the threads about this subject, for instance this one is from January 2007.
What i mean is that every year someone will say "we are making progress" but nothing really happens, now all those companies that declared in breakthroughs are silence which lead me to believe that if it will ever happen it will take a very long time.
I actually believe and see more future in the Gene technology after the discovery of what may be an important genetic marker for causes of hair loss:
http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5hnejWx1iQ0-91Yutah3XXzWn-X5A

but this will also take time and research. unfortunately hair restoration with the combination of medical treatments like propecia are the only current solution, and when i look at my new restored hair it;s not a bad solution at all Smile

Dude,

5 years is a small lifetime. Why is it taking so long? You would think that cloning would have come much further than it has. Sad
