My friend has had great results. He has been on it for 5 years. Five years ago we were both Norwood 3's. Since then I went to a Norwood 4 and he went to a Norwood 2. Not fair. Smile

I researched for 6 or so years. And checked out many top doctors. Go to the best. I did not find anyone better than Dr. Cole. Plus, I see no reason to get a strip and that really makes Dr. Cole standout if you eliminate all strip doctors.

If you want you can email a pic of your hairloss and I will give you my opinion.

I'll be able to send you pictures on Sunday or Monday since I am out of town and I dont have my usb link for my camera here. I wish I had pictures before I started using Propecia and Rogaine which was at the end of 2004, so I can see if there was a difference.

It is always a good idea to take pictures regularly so you can monitor not only your response to a product in a positive way, but also monitor your progression of hair loss. Most products delay hair loss rather rather than produce more hair. Unfortunately, some do not repsond to all products. This is why we recomend you maximize your list of products.

We recomend the following to delay hair loss: Propecia, Rogaine, Saw Palmetto, Nizoral shampoo twice a week, Hair Cycle shampoo and conditioner 5 times a week, the Hair Max laser comb, and Dr. Lee's topical spironolactone. Only Hair Cycle and Saw Palmetto are natural ingredient products for those opposed to using medications.

I am currently using rogaine foam, propecia and nizoral. Would it be even more benificial to be using hair cycle shampoo in addition to that or would it not make much of a difference if I am already using the previous three?

Also, can I please have your opinion on the Hair Max Laser comb? On top of Propecia and Rogaine, can the laser comb grow even more hair or least significantly help on top of the previously listed medications?
I want to maximize my efforts on treating hair loss, but $500 is a lot of money to consider when purchasing a product. Thank you, Dr. Cole.

It is thought that the laser comb does as good as propecia if not better. The problem is that it is costly and it also is not supported by very good studies. I agree that 500.00 is heavy for something that does not have a better track record. It appears to be a good based on the limited data available, however. i like it because the risks are minimal. I think they should charge much less, however.

Do you think it would be even more effective for my hair loss if I were to use the laser comb on top of my propecia use (which I've been taking for 2 1/2 years)? Thank you.

Thank you, Dr. Cole. As of right now, I will at least add hair cycle shampoo and conditioner into my routine and hopefully that will help things out.

It will help prolong the growth phase of you hair. it does not grow new hair. this is important, however. all hairs grow for a set amount of time. then they rest for a set amount of time. then a new hair begins to grow and it pushes the resting hair out and onto your pillow, brush, comb, or shower floor. most are shed in the shower when you wash your hair. each hair has only a set number of cycles of growing, resting, and falling out. once they reach the critical number of cycles, the hair miniaturizes and you appear then. subsequent cycles result in shorter, finer hairs that eventually are almost invisible and you then appear bald.

hair cycle prolongs the anagen duration. this is important. suppose that you increase the anagen duration by one year. if your hair has 5 more cycles, then your hair will remain on your scalp for 5 extra years. if you have 10 more cycles, you'll get 10 more years out of your hair.

this is why you use it. you want to prolong the life of your hair.
