Can anyone give me information on any of the following:

1. Is shock loss any more or less risky with BHT?

2. What do you think of the idea of a BHT, FIT mix in the crown area? Can BHT alone work well in the crown to create a good result?

3. How many BHT are required in leg hair for example to equal 1 FIT. Is it 2 to 1, 3 to 1, 4 to 1 etc...

1. Is shock loss any more or less risky with BHT?

Shock loss is due to a physical trauma caused by surgical instruments to the surrounding follicle. Those instruments are sharp and they can hurt the bulb of surrounding grafts, and make them fall. In most of cases, it is temporary but it pushes the hair to the next cycle. You can have shock loss with scalp or body hair. Shock loss is due to the trauma of existing hair because of the higth density.

2. What do you think of the idea of a BHT, FIT mix in the crown area? Can BHT alone work well in the crown to create a good result?

Depends of your donor area. BHT is a great alternative solution when you have a limited donor area. It may grow slowly and takes up to two years before full maturation.

3. How many BHT are required in leg hair for example to equal 1 FIT. Is it 2 to 1, 3 to 1, 4 to 1 etc...

In average 1 BH graft has one hair; scalp hair has 1 to 4 hairs. Scalp hairs are more valuable than BHT. Theygrow faster, they have more than one or 2 hairs in their follicular unit; which means ,they can give better coverage than BHT.

Shock loss in the recipient area should be no more or no less than w/ scalp FIT. In the donor area, it's a non-issue.
Depending on the reasons for considering BHT, yes, a hybrid technique in the crown may make sense. If you have sufficient scalp donor hair, however, BHT is probably not your best bet. The crown is often the place where BHT shines; it may not be appropriate in many cases to use BHT in the frontal area. Again, BHT used alone in the crown is not going to be as good as scalp or a hybrid, for the most part.
BHT tends to occur in ones and twos, usually more ones. Occassionally there are threes, which along with the twos, may be difficult to harvest in some patients. Scalp occurs in 1 to 5 hair or more groupings, usually 1 to 4.
There are more issues, in terms of coverage, besides just the number of hairs. Hair characteristics may be just as important, so the caliber and color, curliness etc or the donor hair is significant as well.
