Hi,

anybody tried Rogaine foam?? whats the advatange it gives over normal rogaine??

Does anyone know if the foam actually works better than or at least the same as the original rogaine extra strength? I have just recently switched to foam, and it seems like the foam may be a little more difficult to apply to the scalp through the hair opposed to the liquid form.

For some reason, i feel like ive lost some hair since switching to the foam, but maybe its just phsychological.

I would continue to use the liquid version at night and use the foam in the morning since it is more convenient. Just make sure you're gently getting down to the scalp with your fingers.

i don't believe there are any different between the foam or and the liquid, it just another way to apply it and should be your choice to use it.

A lot of guys at other hairloss sites seem convinced that it works better at regrowing hair than the liquid. Some of these guys cite increased shedding early on in its use as a sign that it is working better, some feel that their hair suffers and may not recover from the increased shed. One argument is that the foam allows for better penetration. Who knows, the difference discussed by people could be a placebo effect.

I have tried and am now a convert to the foam. It's clean, dries quickly, and doesn't make the rest of my hair greasy. Previously I used a high quality minox forumulation by Dr. Lee and was very happy with it (much better than the generic liquid Rogaine, etc.), but the foam won out this one in my case, and once my current liquid supply runs out, I'll be on the foam full time. You can get it in value packs at Costco etc. and also bulk packs online.

I do not believe there is anything scientific about the claims that the foam is growing more hair. Even the manufacturer is not claiming this. Their marketing is centered around ease of use, which is why I believe so many people have switched over to the foam.

well I used Regaine about 2 years ago, it messed up my hair line, after using it my full hair became less dense and after I stoped it it stayed like that, I dont think regaine or rogaine should be used on healthy hair.

Well folks I used Rogaine liquid and I find that it irritated my scalp.
It would leave red blemishes ; the appearance would be as if I'd
got sunburn .

After having asked Dr Cole he informed me that my skin was
having an allergic reaction to the isopropol ...mmm car anti freeze
...lol .

I thought I would no longer be able to continue to use the liquid
Minoxidil after this experience .

I had some Rogaine foam shipped to me and I personally find
it does not irritate my skin and doesn't leave me hair greasy.

Can any one tell me where I can get the best shipping
deal for purchasing Rogaine foam ?

In fact Rogaine lotion has alcohol that could irritate the skin and produce redness. It dries in the skin and produces a grease sensation. Rogaine Foam does not contain alcohol. It does evaporate right away without the grease effects.

Both of them are effective, but Rogaine Foam not dries or irritate the skin.
