Forhair, been back on here awhile now, i updated my thread with my current pics. The link below, would be good if you could check out the pics and give me some feedback. Im still yet to have FIT or any other form of HT, but am getting more and more impatient waiting. I still wanna drop my hairline. Let me know what you think. Thanks

wow...i can kill for a hair like you have!
I don't see that your eyebrows are thinning...they look fine.
If i were you, i wouldn't do nothing, i don't understand how your hair has being a problem for you, it really looks good.
Let me give you an advise, try to e honest with yourself and look deep inside to see if your hair is really the problem or maybe something else and you just blame it on your hair...
If you honestly think that by having a hair transplant it will change your self esteem and make your life better then i suggest that you do a 2nd consults with Cole or Patrick to hear their opinions.
I also asked them to reply to your original thread....

thanks forhair as always i appreciate your time & help.

I have been away from the forums for awhile and for about a year i rarely thought of my hair, i kind of moved on past it. However it has moved back further and it is bothering me once again. If i can do something to improve it, then i dont see why not. The only thing that really plays on my mind and stops me jumping in now is future loss. Anyway i look forward to Dr Cole and Patricks comments on my original thread, and appoligise if ive hijacked this thread abit.

Orible*,

I don't want to sound condoscending because if you have issues with your hair then who am I to judge. I mean, I am cruising this forum just like every other guy with "hair issues". However, your hair looks absolutely fine. Yeah, maybe you don't have the hairline of a 16 year old anymore, but in terms of overall loss, I think there are bigger fish to fry, so to speak.

I'll be frank, the risks involved with hair transplantation or any surgery should always be weighed with the benefits. If you find that down the road your hair loss is really unbearable, then perhaps consider surgery. For now though, I think you should enjoy those lucious locks and get on with it.

I'm 32 years old and have been experiencing gradual loss to the frontal hair line and temples since I was around 23 or 24. I tend to obsess over it sometimes and sometimes I don't pay it any mind. I do think that the hair loss is a reminder that one is getting older...and some of us like the idea of being young. I stand on the subway sometimes and marvel at some of these younger guys with that deep, thick hairline and get extremely jealous. I do know one thing though, if someone is a perfectionist and is striving for the fountain of youth, then no surgery in the world is going to fix it. Because first you'll want to lower your hairline, and then you'll notice perhaps crows feet around your eyes, and then maybe you'll notice that your stomach used to be flatter. It's a slippery slope when you start scrutinizing your physical appearance.

Long diatribe...sorry...but you have great hair. Stressing over it is a waste of your energy.

And ask any chick (sorry for the term), chicks go for confidence, not perfect hairlines. And chicks can smell fake confidence a mile away. If you go out at night and you're stressing over two misplaced follicles, it's game-over. You are what you think you are.

Respectfully,
Spinner

haha...LOL
I totally agree with you.
i for example really had a problem with my huge forehead and big temples....now i have less forehead and smaller temples, it is not straight hairline and i am happy with it. I look maybe 7 years younger but it still looks like late 20's- early 30's and not like 18 years old....
this is real expectations, my hair transplant got me to where you are now....think about it.
however, if you just want to re-shape that "v" point in your hairline, then i think it is realistic and acceptable just like when a women want to fix her lips... Wink

Spinner thanks for your opinion on my hair. I agree vastly with what you are saying and totally agree that becoming looks obsessed isn’t healthy. I suppose everybody who seeks out a hairloss forum is slightly vain or appearance conscious, although im sure many people will just stop at their hair.

I was born with quite a high hairline anyway and would never have classed myself as having a perfect hairline, so know that recreating a norwood 1 straight hairline whilst possible might not be the best plan for me. I really am just looking for a conservative drop in the very frontal region to just the lower the V or widows peak type thing. I have quite a broad forehead and I feel that adding a bit of hair at the front would be benefical to me. I would be happy with receeded sides so long as I had hair lower on my forehead. Im really not someone who is concerned with the very slightest loss. I probably should take better pics to show what my issue more. Next time I update I think I will try and show exactly what my issues are.

I did used to be one of those people who worried about my hair being out of place before i started losing it, and then more so afterwards. I do now however not stress it so much. I think it maybe comes with age and acceptance. Still be nice to not have to worry about it at all though.
