I'm 24, male, and I've been lurking these forums/ forhair for a while and I'm considering, scheduling a consultation to try and fix some accidental hairloss, its not male pattern balding, my hair has been missing in the same spots since the accident. Does Dr.Cole do restoration on people like me? I have no idea how much I would need, but does that make a difference?
any idea how long I'd have to wait for the consultation?
any help is much appreciated

DMNZ,

I have heard of grafts being transplanted into areas where there was some prior trauma from an accident. In order to setup a consultation you should fill out the form at http://www.forhair.com/contact_page.htm . When I went for my consultation it was not difficult to get a date in a reasonable amount of time. You will be able to discuss your options in your consultation. After your consultation you will receive an email documenting the meeting and the plan of action for your particular case.

Hair transplant surgery is a good way to replace hairs but it doesn't assure you about the fall of the existing hairs. Hair loss is a life long process and surgery should be the last scenario to consider after trying the others options such as medical therapy, healthy diet, etc…
Some names such as Propecia, Rogaine, Hair Cycle shampoo and conditioner, Saw palmetto, Laser comb are helpful. They don’t treat radically the condition but they can help to slow it down and they are also a good support for your surgery. They allow you to keep the results for a while.

Is your husband currently taking Propecia or Rogaine?

To know an approximately price of the procedure, the first step would be to obtain a consultation either by photo/email or by appointment. The doctor will tell your husband if he is a good HT candidate and have an action plan.
