Dear Dr. Cole,
I am approximately one month post-op from my half-day repair procedure, and I wanted to write not so much to update, but to thank you for the time spent working on my head (well, “scalp” I suppose). For many people, “repair” is a very personal thing, and I appreciated your straightforward assessment of my situation and options. I know repair work done properly is extremely tedious, and it would be far easier for IHTI to refer guys like me elsewhere, and choose to work only on virgin scalps. Yet, despite the difficulties involved, you approached my case with all of the passion, and compassion, that you are known for. I thank you for this.
The healing is just getting started, and I know I have a long way to go. I am trying to think of 2007 as my “recovery” year, thus being as patient as possible. I’ve been putting some photos up on another site, but so as to not overburden you, I can hold off and send you guys some pics in a few months, once things normalize a bit on the ol’ head. That said, I can report that the healing is going fairly well – the extraction sites are visible as you indicated they would be, but they are really not that bad. Some creative brushing in the morning and I’m good, in fact. The old linear scars that we FIT’ed are still somewhat raised and red, but that seems to be improving weekly as well.
Take care, and give my best to Hairtech and the crew.
P.S.: Maybe I should change my online name to "PluggyNoMore!" |
