Most man start to loose hair in the front area of the scalp, then it progress to the middle-top until the crown were it usually stops. It's called "Frontal Alopecia"(alopecia=hair loss) and it is a part of the MPB (male pattern baldness).

Your bald pattern is called "Norwood 3A" and it defines hair loss in the frontal area without loosing on the crown:
"Norwood type 3 is the lowest level of hair loss that considering as Baldness. Most of 3 classes cases present symmetrical retrogressive in the anterior temporal area without or with very low congestion and expansive to the back at least 2 cm more than class 2"

You can read more about it here: Male Bald Pattern

and you can see some examples of patients that had a frontal loss here:

most pictures i see of people shows front and crown thinning, which makes me question getting something done at this point. i've already had a consultation and was told a norwood 5 + was not likely. still, the thought worries me Confused

I thought that people that lost hair mostly at the front are a better candidate...
The crown is far more difficult to restore.

true, only frontal may be great, but what happens if you do something and then start to lose it all over. i'm more worried about where things are heading since i'm a "big picture" kind of person Confused

One should always plan ahead in hair restoration, iostream. Keep in mind that having only limited lost at age 35 statistically indicates that you should not experience massive loss. Perhaps a Norwood 5 is in your future but we simply cannot tell with full certainty. Given your age and current meds (are you taking meds for your loss?) is very likely that you can experience very slow loss moving forward.

We can do a stand alone surgery for those who feel that they may wish to discontinue surgeries even if loss progresses. This is achieved with proper hairline design and location, by using discrete hair groups, and by using FIT.

There should not be a problem getting you in contact with some patients. Give the office a call and we will give you a list of guys who offer there contact info to perspective patients.

If you desire a follow up consult, you can set this up through the patient coordintors at
