It can be hard to tell the difference when comparing before pictures where the hair is buzzed very short and after pictures where the hair is longer.
Before, the frontal third was a whispy, narrow island of hair. There was also an area of thinning in the center of this island. After, the frontal third is thick and full from temple to temple.
Before, the hair line was recessed on the sides about an inch or more from his original hair line. The hair line after has been brought forward to the black line that has been drawn in on the before pictures.
It can be hard to tell the difference on the hair line because it looks completely natural, even on up-close evaluation. Rather than choosing a teenager's hairline, which goes straight across the forehead, this patient chose a more mature hairline that slopes gently back on the sides. This is more appropriate for his age, takes less hair, and is easier to maintain as his hair loss progresses throughout his life.
I do agree with the other comments that this patient is due for an updated hair style, though |
