this answer , i give also to myself ,dr Cole , anybody who has some
questions on this drug ,and hesitate to take it , just do not have the benefits . After 10 not 25 years , i beleive this field will be different ,like
if we compare present comparing to 10 years before . (new closure technics , fue ,body hair etc etc ) .

you are absolutely right. Many things may likely change even in the next 5 years. one of the reasons i feel propecia is reasonably safe is that it will most likley be replaced by something better in due course. finasteride has been around since the late 1980s and it has a long saftey record over that time. Having said this, it is always possible that someone may develop a condition we do not know about for many years from taking propecia. it was only because they designed a new study to look at new indications for vioxx that we discovered it increased the risk of vascular diseases. if they had not stated new studies, Merck might still be producing vioxx and they would not be defending themselves in multiple legal battles with patients who had complications from vioxx.
