Hi im 26 and have been losing my hair for 5 years, though only in the last 2 has it speeded up and really become a problem. I started on propecia 3 months ago (and hadnt yet noticed much affect except perhaps a slight reduction in hair loss) however due to financial circumstances I have run out of propecia and cant replace prescription for prob 2 weeks! I am really worried that this will mean i will revert back to as if i had never taken it. Please could someone let me know.
Also I have heard alot about monoxydil but decided not to take it until i had seen effects from propecia, is this wise?
all help appreciated

Ususally it takes more then 3 months for propecia to take effect...more like 1 year, so you have nothing to worry about becuase you haven't gain the full effect of Propecia.
However, don't wait too long and get back on it this or next week so you will be back on track...
We can help you to get a prescription, call 1-800-368-4247
or go to your local doctor and get one.

propecia takes a long time to build up a theraputic level and it takes a long time to drop off. you are probably going to be just fine. it probably takes up to 3 months for all the propecia to get out of your system.

next time you must go without, drop the dosage down to every other day until you can get your prescription filled. this way, you are probably not going to get a gap in your blood levels of propecia.

propecia only rarely grows a significant amount of hair in my experinence, but when it does, it can be dramatic. about 8 out of ten people on propecia simply have a slower rate of hair loss. about one out of ten people get no repsonse to propecia.
