a receeding hair line is a classic sign of androgenic alopecia and yes it will progress when you stop propecia provided that you were responding to propecia. it will typically take 3 to 5 months before you will notice hair loss after you stop propecia because it has a long half life and will stay in your system for about 3 months after you stop it. it gradually declines over time in concentration. hair loss will begin after the concentration drops below a theraputic level.
propecia will delay or slow hair loss in about 8 out of 10 people. in 1 out of 10, you will see more hair, but only rarely will you see significant quantities of new hair. in about 1 out of 10 people we do not see any improvement. |
