Dear All,

I was wondering if any of you have any thorghts on dealing with the scar tissue which poor quality, Nobel Clinic type HT can produce in the recipient area. Not just at the site of the grafts but in the scalp surrounding the grafts itself? My scalp is quite white and fibrous compared to my normal skin, or the areas of scalp that have just had work by Dr Cole.

My mind is drawn to this topic a bit as I have some good growth now from in my last visit in August, and the hair which was put in front of my old hairline (in 'natural scalp') is, or at least looks to be, growing more quickly than the grafts placed in my 'scarred' scalp.

I think I remember Dr Cole mentioning that ht into scarred skin is marginally less successful, possilby due to the auto immune response in the damaged skin(?) (SORRY I may be wrong on that bit of tittle tattle, was enjoying my valium at the time)

In this sense improving my scalp skin mayhave some benefit on my future ht's being as productive as possible?

I have wondered about using stuff that is reputed to help with facial scaring like mild AHA peels for example etc to help make the skin more natural, and so more likely to receive donor hair successfully?

All the best

NV
