CIT - Dr. Cole vs. Korea Doctors

Hi,

I was curious about the high transection rate listed for the Korean Doctors employing the CIT method (0-10.96%). Has the transection rate declined much more or is it an issue with the donor hair i.e., asian vs. caucasian? Information was taken from the article written by Dr. Cole: "CIT vs other forms of IFGH - CIT Results". I am just amazed at the low transection rate (> 3 %) that is associated with Dr. ...

CIT vs. Neograft

Hi,

I was wondering what Dr. Cole thought about the NeoGraft machine and it's acceptance by other physicians in the past few months? What are the differences between the CIT method/tools and NeoGraft i.e., Pros and Cons. I had read somewhere that a few hair restoration doctors were concerned about the drying and mechanical trauma which occurs (in NeoGraft) during the extraction and implantation process. Thanks,

William Holst

Preparing for a body hair trial run

I have an upcoming appointment and I'm interested in having Dr Cole try a few chest hairs to see if they are an option for me in the future. How large a section do I need to pre-shave (per the BHT pre-op instructions)?

Power Extractor benefits?

What are the benefits of Dr Cole's new power extractor?

1. Anyone who has had a HT knows what a time-consuming process it is for the doctor, which is why costs have had to be on the high side when compared to other cosmetic procedures. The extractor, one would think, will affect that equation. Will it allow the doctor to lower the cost of hair transplants, since the time to extract the donor hair has ...

Question on donor sites

I've been doing some research and I was curious to learn that understand that everyone has a finite supply of donor hair however, usually the donor supply resource is not tapped out after only one procedure. While the hair that's taken from the donor will not grow back, other hair is available once it's healed, assuming you have enough scalp laxity which returns in time after healing.

1. Is it true that the hair on ...

Rare 7 hair graft with CIT

The hair on everyone’s scalp grows in small groupings called follicular units. The normal adult has follicular units consisting of 1-5 hair follicles. With the CIT technique Dr. Cole can isolate grafts or follicular units that contain higher hair counts. This is advantageous when working behind the frontal hairline, in the top and in the crown region of the scalp because a single graft containing more hair provides more coverage. Last week we had a ...

CIT 4 Months Post Op Question About Growth (1640 Grafts)

Hi Forhair and Members,

I am roughly 17 weeks(4 months) post op with Dr. Cole and had 1640 grafts in the frontal Zone and forelock area. I was reading a previous post that mentiond transplanted hair can lie dormant up to 25 weeks before growing. Is this the case often for the hair to take that long to start growing in the recipient area? Does the hair line normally take longer as well? At 4 ...
