dermaroller to improve recipient site without damaging hair

HI All,

I'm interested in improving the recipient scalp which was damaged by the nobel clinc many moons ago, and which Dr Cole has done so much to improve over the years. I understand the dermaroller products can help break up bundles of collagen in the scar tissue, and normally a length of between 1 and 1.5 mm is recommended for this. While dermarollers for hair loss (which I have no idea if they work) ...

acell for scarred recipient site

Is any data available to see the effect of acell on scarred recipient site? I personally have some fibropitc (Sp) scarring where the scalp has whitened and thickened, from my nobel clinic HT which has been much improved by Dr Cole, I would be very interested in the effect acell could have on my scar tissue.

Exciting times!!!

Strip Scar Repair-CIT and C2G

The patient in these photos had undergone a strip procedure with another physician.  This patient would ultimately like to be able to wear his hair very short and therefore approached Dr. Cole with his goal to conceal the strip scar along the back of his head.  Scar grafting is a common procedure at our clinic and involves Dr. Cole using his CIT method to place grafts into the scar.   Although scar tissues does not “take” ...

Repair case results | patient JDA | Dr. Cole

These photos depict a repair case Dr. Cole has been working on since June of 2008. This patient had received pluggy-looking grafts from another clinic and desired a much more natural result.

There are two distinct ways Dr. Cole can approach a repair case. One approach is akin to bulldozing a house, in which he basically removes everything at once and ‘rebuilds’. With this method, the patient will be left with much less hair for ...

dermarolla - colligen induction

I see on the main site Cole group are now offering a dermaroller type product to improve the donor site of patients with strip scars? Have you been doing any tests with these? You tend to be so methodical that I'm sure you will have some interesting data, would this help a recipient site with a little ridging from a non-Cole ht?

2680 scar revision/FUT - 5 yr. anniversary results on class

Below are pre-op and post-op photo comparisons that depict a five year anniversary result of a class 3A potential class 4A patient who desired an overall thicker front and a scar revision to improve the appearance of the linear scar. The pre-op photos reveal the wispy, under-developed front with extreme miniaturization. The patient has medium fine, wavy hair and well above average donor density of about 210 hairs per square centimeter with 180 hairs/cm2 being ...

Acell for donor scar repair?

Dr. Cole and company,

I was wondering if you had any ambitions to test the Acell ECM on donor scar repair. I have had a couple conversations with a representative from the company who claims that by removing the scar and applying the powder, regular skin should replace scar tissue and in addition new hair follicles would form. It was his opinion that the revision would result in healthy donor skin! This could be the ...

600 CIT grafts at 5 months post-op - Fine hair line repair

Below are photo comparisons of a mature patient who sought out our clinic after having three prior hair transplant procedures that include a plug procedure, scalp reduction, and a strip procedure (FUT). The patient's actual goal was to have the plugs camouflaged for a more natural looking and aesthetically pleasing frontal hair line. Very often we encounter patients who are literally forced to pluck a significant number of their plugs go about their daily activities. ...

Repair a Misjudged NW level

I have had several tranplants in the last 10 years, I have a full forelock up to the NW 4 level, I can tell now that I will be gong to a NW6 level, I don't have enough donor to compensate for this. Does anyone know of a natural looking solution? possibly thinning out my forelock by removing those graphs and redistributing them?
