FUE (CIT) early growth at 3 months

Some young men who later experience hair loss have once had a full, thick head of hair and a very low hairline. That was the case with our patient. Our patient, whose hair thinned in the front and crown received 3709 grafts, November 12, 2012. Although it has only been 3 months, he has seen some growth at this early stage. Our patient's donor and recipient area were treated with ACell and platelet rich plasma ...

New CIT results - Jan 2013 by Dr. Cole

According to surveys, men see the greatest aesthetic benefit in first addressing frontal hair loss. When I was in my teens and early twenties, hair loss was unacceptable regardless of where it was on the scalp. As we grow older, we often develop more realistic expectations. I personally feel, as do many others that first framing the face with an age appropriate hairline offers the best overall improvement in appearance. Our patient provides an excellent ...

Repair using beard hair - 2101 grafts

This patient began his repair journey with Dr. Cole back in November of 2009. Since his first procedure in 2009, he has had three additional surgeries with Dr. Cole spaced about a year apart. Grafts were extracted from body, scalp and beard areas. Because beard hair is nearly always more coarse than scalp hair, care must be exercised in its placement in order to maintain a natural appearance.
These are progress photos that were taken ...

FUE 2500 Grafts - Norwood 6 - Dr. Cole

It’s not always feasible for NW class 5-6 patients to restore a full head of hair when there are financial constraints involved. Dr. Cole is able to address hairloss with such patients. Here is an example.
Not all NW class 5-6 patients have the money to restore a full head of hair. In such instances, we try to make the most out of a limited budget. This is an example. Dr. Cole transplanted 2552 total ...

Results - Acell Follicle Regeneration & Trichometry

We recently treated a patient with 2500 grafts into an area of thinning hair. When you treat an area of thinning hair, three things can happen and two are bad! People with thinning hair can proceed on to progressive hair loss. In other words, they can progress to where they look worse than when they started. That ‘s not so good for the patient or the physician. The other thing that can happen is that ...

C2g vs CIT

Dr. Cole,

I am interested in CIT and C2g and had a few questions.

How long does your hair need to be? I thought I had saw pictures online where it looked like a patient’s hair was relatively short.

When extracting the graft using C2g do you trim the hair from the graft and then use the PCID? Are all C2g extractions made with PCID or are other punches used?

Since the nature of C2g ...

CIT/FUE Results By Dr. Cole - March-7-2012

This patient originally underwent the shaven CIT procedure of 1,845 grafts in July of 2004. Then when he returned to our clinic, he decided to have the Non-shaven CIT, or C2G (CIT to Go), because he needed to return to work, immediately following the procedure. The pictures show the pre-op and the follow-up visit in July of 2011. This patient’s goal was to restore the frontal hair line and the mid-scalp, though he desired to ...
